ABOUT US
Among the best salmon and sea trout waters in Europe. The fishing is divided into three sections where salmon and sea trout is mainly in section A. The B/C section is mostly for pike, pikeperch and perch. In Älvkarleby section A one of its Swedish records is 27.97 kg for salmon in running water.

At Älvkarleby Fishing Camp we speak Swedish and English.
Season
The fishing premier is the third Saturday in March and lasts till November 30. Best fishing time is April-July and September-October.
Other activities
About 15 km to the zoo and amusement park Furuvik, 10 km to the Rullsand ocean camping. Around 30 km to the city of Gävle.

Dalälven record – section-A: salmon 27.97 kg; sea trout 13 kg; zander 10.3 kg; Pike 15.1 kg. Very large whitefish, e.g. vimba, silver bream.

We sell fishing equipment adapted to fishing for salmon and sea trout, as well as arranging for fishing guides and locating fishing equipment for hire.
Fishing equipment
Use a reel or a bait-casting reel with 0.45-50 mm nylon line, 10-11foot rod. Maybe a 2-handed fly rod with heavier lines. Use a single-hook or tube fly and a 30-90g sinker, which you cast, letting it float with the current. Even a 25-50g trolling spoon.
Fishing regulations
Lead, live bait and braided lines are not allowed. Max 3 salmon-like fishes/day/person. Minimum size: sea trout 45 cm; salmon 50 cm.

At Älvkarleby Fishing Camp we have a camping site for tents and caravans, and also offer different types of self catering cabins; 2 bed/14sqm cabin with no shower, 4 bed/16sqm cabin with shower, 2 bed/18 sqm handicap friendly cabin with shower, 4 bed/21 sqm cabin with shower, basic camping cabins with no water or shower.
