Central Sweden
From a point on the Baltic coast 150 km south of Stockholm central Sweden stretches north to the country’s midpoint and includes four of Sweden’s great lakes and some its big rivers. Pike dominates, though in the SW there is a lot of pikeperch. Trout abounds and in the north and northeast the running waters and smaller lakes offer grayling and brown trout. Salmon and trout are also found in the largest lake and northwards the deep woods hide many an untouched tarn.
