Northern Sweden

North

Ranging from Kiruna in the far north and south to Jämtland province, northern Sweden offers a wide-open alpine landscape to the west, forests in the middle and farmlands along the coast. The alpine rivers run from the mountains to the Bothnian shore offering brown trout and grayling. In the undammed rivers are salmon and ocean trout, while the many waters are home to pike and perch; farther west there is char. Summers are short and the nights; farthest north the midnight sun amazes.
