Fishing in Northeast Skåne

 

The northeast of Sweden’s most southerly province, SKåne, is a fisherman’s dream year-round. There are around 50 lakes in the area, from small, quiet lakes in the wilderness to Ivösjön, Skåne’s largest.

   
East coast
The coastline of northeast Skåne stretches from Kivik to Bromölla and as the rivers empty into the sea you could be there fishing for sea trout, pike and garfish. From the beaches angle for flatfish, or off the coast fish for cod.

   

     
Rivers and lakes
The fishing rivers here are Helge å, Vramsån, Almaån, Skräbeån and Holjeån. So, look to hook a salmon trout, whitefish, perch, bream or char. Whitefish weighing in at plus 5kg have been caught in the area. Huge range of game fish species here including perch, pike-perch, salmon, salmon trout and bream.
