ABOUT US
You’ll find Ormeshaga in a beautiful location next to the superb fishing lake Rottnen in Småland Province. Regardless of which all the activities available you choose, our lovely natural location offers a peaceful, relaxing setting. There are well-equipped boats for hire and Lake Rottnen is known for its excellent fishing for pike, pikeperch and perch. We even have access to smaller lakes stocked with rainbow and brown trout. All our rustic cabins offer a good standard embedded in verdant settings near the water. A warm welcome to our idyll in southern Sweden!

Season
We are open for fishing all year. The best time for pike is April-October, for perch is May-October, for pikeperch August-October, tench May-September, bream May-September and crawfish from August-September.
Other activities
Hunting, bird watching, conferences and trips to Hästriket (Equine Realm) and the Kingdom of Crystal. Småland Province is filled with Swedish history and culture.

FISHING
Pike, pikeperch and perch are the most common species in Lake Rottnen, Pike at 19 kg, pikeperch at 7 kg and perch at 2.1 kg have been caught here.
Service
Smaller, 2-4 person aluminium boats with 4-stroke, 5 hp motors. Anchor, oars and life jackets are included. The fishing guides are fully familiar with the waters in the area. They can show where, when and how you should fish in the various waters, they speak both German and English and can be hired for both shorter and longer periods.
Fishing equipment
Spin-fishing for pike, pikeperch and perch, trolling for pikeperch and pike, ice-fishing for perch and much more. Summertime night fishing for pikeperch is a true nature experience. There is also coarse fishing for carp and other whitefish, fly-fishing for brown or rainbow trout, as well as for pike though with heavier equipment.
Fishing regulations
Fishing licence is required for all lakes and waterways in the area. On the card you will find all the rules valid for the area. We prefer that you not keep more fish than you can eat while you are here. The minimum size for pike and pikeperch is 50 cm.
ACCOMMODATION
You can choose between living right on the water or a short distance away, though always at a comfortable walking distance. All cabins offer glorious, peaceful settings with a view of the lake, large lots with patios for your use – all only two stone throws from the water. • Ryagården – This is a traditional Småland farmhouse, newly renovated and equipped with 8 beds. It’s perfect for larger groups or two families. • Solhäll – Cabin equipped with 4 beds, its own beach and a sea view. • Sjölyckan – A leisure house just built in a naturally lovely forest setting with a view over the water only 100 m from Lake Rottnen. • Sjöstugan – This cabin couldn’t be closer to the lake – a wonderful location with its own sand beach. It has 4 beds and there are two well-equipped smaller cabins on the lot with beds.

Location & transfer
Our fishing camp is just outside Hovmantorp, some 30 km from Växjö, 82 km NE of Karlkrona, and around 3 hrs by car from Trelleborg or Malmö. The nearest airports are in Växjö 40 minutes away and Ronneby 70 minutes, both by car.
